Week 8 Reflection - You Hao
For desert, we can have some pie, cherry pie or APPLE PIE (they should love it), we can also have some chinese-asian hot desert like Black Sesame Paste, Almond paste, or whatever paste... But most important is we shouldn't make the lunch too much dishes, until their stomach burst..

Week 8 Reflection-Yong Yi

Worksheet Image - Worksheet 8
1. Most of the sportsmen is usually around the teen age to the young adult age. (14 to 21 years old approximately) Hence, our itinerary should have more events that we teenagers like - we should know ourselves though in our whole planning.
2. Most of the sportsmen love to relax and chill-out, and exercise (of course). So we can roughly have some physical events and some relaxing events in our itinerary.
3. The sportsmen do not mind eating asian food, but they prefer western food. However, the asian can accept both of the types of food. Thus, we can go to a special restaurant and perhaps request them to have a western-asian type of dish, like combining curry and some nachos in a dish for appetiser, FOR EXAMPLE.
4. We should go shopping at night as most prefer to go shopping at night rather than shopping in the afternoon or in the morning. So we should put the shopping time after dinner, maybe the first and last day of the tour.
Okay thats all we got from the survey. I think we'd a rough idea what should we plan in the itinerary. :P

This Week's Progress

This is our progress sheet for week 8 lesson, we've done the first 2 hours of the day 1. We'll continue further next lesson, right now, we're discussing what to do after the breakfast. Perhaps we can go somewhere? We've to check the Singapore Tourism Board website for some examples on the itinerary, we might get some great ideas there that could aid us in our itinerary-planning. ;)

Worksheet 6 - Image
After the survey, we would roughly know what type of sportsmen will be coming to Singapore and what type of program will they like, some cool and boastful events, or whatever.
Anyway i couldn't use Grab to take the doc as the grab formats were in .TIFF format and the blogger don't allow it. LIKE DAMN :(

Week 6 - Zachariah's Reflection
Happy Chinese New Year! Hope you all had a good rest and collected a lot of Ang Pow money during the long weekend!
Anyway, as Jovi has recommended we can have an amazing race around Singapore for the athletes, we can have different stations around Singapore such as Little India, Geylang Serai, Chinatown, and Orchard Road. At each station, we can have mini games or challenges to help the athletes get to know Singapore better. The winning group can get complimentary tickets to the Singapore Flyer or Sentosa.
That's all for today's reflection. Hope all of you study hard and do well for the coming common tests. Bye!

Week 6 Reflection - Jovi
Anyway, I'm glad that we're managed to finish 3 quarters of the itinerary for Day 1 of the tour. We're not done with the events ineach item. Our meals are not decided yet, especially where to dine and what dishes to order. We need more information and in depth ones on that part of our project. We've planned an amazing race in Raffles Place as a event in Day 1 and we need your ideas what to do and what will it be like for the amazing race.
We still need events to take place in the Raffles Place, Clarke Quay and Suntec city - apart from shopping, tell me with i miss out any events.
So please cooperate and do your regular reflections. We'll discuss in depth about our project in the next comin' week. :D
Happy CNY!

Week 3 - You Hao's Reflection
We can bring them to tourists attractions such as Singapore's Chinatown where evolved around 1821 when the first Chinese junk arrived from Xiamen, Fujian province in China. The passengers, all men, set up home around the south of the Singapore River which is known today as Telok Ayer. Chinatown’s local name - Niu Che Shui (Bullock Cart Water) arose from the fact each household at that time had to collect fresh water from the wells in Ann Siang Hill and Spring Street, using bullock-drawn carts.

Week 5 Reflection - Jovi
This is to prepare us for the presentation at the end of this semester. Hopefully the judges could leave a good impression on us. And I think we should do more preparations! We're definitely wasting every IPW lesson doing the author permission stuff, we need more TIME DISCUSSING!!!!!! Week 6 lesson, i am gonna start the discussion, I will kick off the author request and blog matters OUT for all lessons. We must start our research and discussion.
Yong yi - please DO your reflections.
Zachariah - please DO your reflections.
You hao - I will set your google acc asap during my freetime, and i will pass it to u thru facebook. :D
- Jovi
Week 4 - Reflection
So we also think that we should bring them to some places that they would like. Singapore Flyer is one of our decisions, and we think we're gonna bring them to Sentosa, which I think they would definitely like it. After all, they're roughly teenagers, we could also bring them to some historical sites in Singapore, we would not spend much time there - maybe 1 hour or 30 minutes will do. After all, we know they might get bored by it, and we wouldn't want it to happen.
I am gonna upload the documents for Week 1, 2, 3, 4 worksheets on the blog real soon, be sure to check out,
Yong yi, do your week 3, 4, 5 reflection.
Zachariah, do your week 4 and 5 reflection.
You hao, you're an exception, the next IPW lesson, I will try to make your google account. Hopefully you are able to access the blog to post your reflections. :D

Week 3 - Zachariah's Reflection
Sorry for not posting regularly, I had some problems logging into blogger. Anyway, everything is solves and you can expect to see my reflection every week starting from now!
Anyway, as Jovi has suggested we can bring the athletes from around the world to some of Singapore's most famous tourists attractions such as the Singapore Flyer, the Merlion Park, the National Museum, Fort Canning Park and Sentosa. As for the introduction of Singapore's cuisine to the athletes, we can bring them to try some of Singapore's delicacies such as, chicken rice, oyster omelette, char kway teow, etc. However, we should try not to bring them to try Singapore's famous chilli crab or laksa as these foods are spicy and may result in a stomach ache and affect their performance during the YOG.
Well, I think that's all for my Week 3 reflection. Hope Youhao would be able to have access to the blog asap. Bye!
-Zachariah

Week 3 Reflection - Jovi
Anyway for week 3, we have gather roughly what our main focus of the itinerary of the YOG sportsman 3-day tour. The main purpose is to let them know WELL about Singapore's culture, and Singapore being a unique country. :) So I am planning to bring them to the seven wonders of Singapore and maybe let them to taste our Singapore cuisine and hopefully they know HOW UNIQUE IS SINGAPORE!
So, Zachariah and You Hao, i wish you all get it done ASAP (the author permission). If not, I can ask Yong Yi for help, because he had the author permission. Anyway, Yong Yi and me are able to post our reflections, and Yong Yi, thanks for writing your reflection for week 2, now whats left for you is the week 3's reflection, I will remind you to do it tomorrow.
So, for this week 4's lesson, we will be planning our day 1 itinerary half of it. Which is from sunrise to noon time. :D
Happy schooling! :D

Week 2 Reflection - Yong Yi
Like that, it will make the planning and project easier and convenient. Besides, we have also did research homework for the sportsman age group and mostly where theyre from.... So right, we can know what they will expect, and their expections of the whole tour. Like that, our task would definitely be much easier, right?
And most of the sportsman is in the western and asian. So we might wanna combine the meals in a western and asian way, so that asians and westerns can enjoy their meals. For the excursion and etc, I have not confirm yet.... so i think we'll discuss further on week 3 or week 4.

Anyway, I feel that the topic really suits our group, we're all Singaporeans - well maybe 1 of our group members aren't. But, I still think that our group will like it, after all, we live in Singapore right? Anyway, i feel excited doing research - maybe I should start my research! :D Anyway, I better do my work first. ._.
So here's my reflection after the week 3 lesson. :) Signing off from here.
- Jovi, Group Leader.
p.s. Lets start the research ASAP. :P
